1. Data controller

2. Data we collect

• Contact details when you request a consultation, a trial class or apply for a job: name, phone number, email, course of interest, level and learning goals.
• App account details: name, email, phone number, student / teacher ID, profile photo (optional).
• Learning and teaching data: courses, schedules, attendance, progress, scores, submissions, teacher feedback.
• Voice recordings when you use speaking practice / pronunciation scoring (only if you grant microphone access).
• Technical data: device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, push notification token.

3. How we use data

• To advise on courses, place you in classes and contact you as requested.
• To provide, operate and personalise learning: schedules, assignments, grading, teacher feedback.
• To send notifications about classes, assignments and service changes.
• To fix errors, keep the Services secure and improve quality.
• To comply with legal obligations (invoices, accounting, requests from authorities).

We process data based on your consent, performance of the training contract, or legal obligations. We do not sell personal data and do not use it to track you across other companies' apps for advertising.

4. Device permissions

• Microphone: record speaking practice and score pronunciation.
• Camera / photo library: capture or upload assignments and profile photos.
• Notifications: class reminders, assignments and teacher messages.

You can enable or disable these permissions at any time in your device Settings.

5. Sharing with third parties

We share data only with service providers needed to run the Services, under contracts with confidentiality terms: cloud hosting and database services, push notification services, crash reporting services, speech processing / pronunciation scoring services, and Google Workspace (storing consultation requests).

We may disclose data to competent authorities when required by law.

6. Storage and international transfers

Some of our cloud providers host servers outside Vietnam. In that case we complete the cross-border transfer procedures under Decree 13/2023/ND-CP and only use providers with appropriate safeguards.

7. Security

• Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
• Least-privilege internal access control.
• Regular backups and monitoring of unusual access.
• Notifying users and authorities of data breaches within the legal deadline.

8. Retention

• Account and learning data: for as long as you use the Services.
• Consultation requests: up to 24 months after the last contact.
• Speaking practice recordings: up to 12 months, or earlier on request.
• After account deletion: data is deleted within 30 days, except data we must keep by law (accounting records and invoices, kept for at least 10 years).

9. Your rights

• Be informed about, access and obtain a copy of your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Withdraw consent, object to or restrict processing.
• Request deletion of your data and account.
• Lodge a complaint under applicable law.

10. Minors

The Services are intended for learners aged 16 and over. For students under 16, we only process data with the consent of a parent or guardian. If we learn that a child's data was provided without such consent, we will delete it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The new version takes effect on the date shown at the top of this page; material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
